Tuesday Trail Talk: November 12, 2024
More Snow Please
Late October we were teased with a pretty significant snowfall on Casper Mountain. To date a few more inches have fallen, but not enough to offset the amount we are losing due to warmer temperatures. Looking ahead at the forecast, it appears more snow is on the way next week. Casper has been lucky to get what we have though, as it has been a destination for ski teams to come train. Last week the University of Utah was here training and there have been rumors of more schools coming. We are also seeing an increase in the amount of snowshoers as well. The trails are also getting heavily used by hikers and fat bikers. Please remember your snowshoes when out on all the groomed trails. We are beginning our grooming season and “post holing” with boots is difficult to fix. Also remember your trail passes as enforcement and spot checks will begin to take place on Nov 15th, according to Natrona County Parks. Our new trail markers have shown up so be on the lookout for the new blue markers!! We are beginning to install the new markers today. We hope to get all the winter use trails marked this week. See you on the trails.
Casper Charrette Report is out.

All-Wheel Park Planning Progress Report
Today we had our second planning team meeting for the All-wheeled park in Casper. This meeting focused on the community survey results. Huge THANK YOU to all the amazing respondents. With 315 people responding, American Ramp Co. (ARC) had a huge data set to get some essential information for the design of your bike park. We will be sharing this report with you as soon as we get the email from ARC. Stay tuned…
