Please get informed and get to the polls!!!

Winter Grooming is Underway

We have begun our grooming efforts for this winter use season. There will be a few changes this year.

  1. Updated grooming markers. We will be placing BLUE trail markers so they will not be confused with what are used elsewhere on the trail. These new markers will be getting placed next week.

  2. “No winter maintenance” signs will be placed on trails that we will not be grooming. That, however, does not mean you can’t snowshoe them. What it does mean is we will not be marking or packing a trail on them is all.

  3. We will be grooming more this year. This is two fold. We are grooming more often and more trail. The trails we will be grooming this year are as follows.

  • Miner loop

  • Fools Gold (new)

  • Eadsville South

  • Eadsville Upper (Including Bypasses)

  • Eadsville North

  • Copper

  • Biathlon loop (later in the season)

Please keep in mind that Miner loop has been significantly altered at the trailhead from where they have been in the past. This is due to the construction of the lodge.  Please follow signage, as it may change as the season continues.

Quick reminders

If you should decide to snowshoe or fatbike  on the ski trail, please avoid the classic set tracks and always remember to yield to skiers. If the snow is too soft please consider using the trail system another day. What is too soft? If you are sinking in the trail over an inch on your bike or snowshoes.  Things you can do.

  • Lower your tire pressure.

  • Walk/ride on the far side of the ski trail to allow skate skiers their lane.

  • Move to the single track

We ask that everyone obeys all Natrona County Parks rules.

Trail Building Will Continue in the Snow

We will be continuing saw work to open the McMurry Park Trail and will let you all know when it is marked and ready for some fresh tracks. If you hear a saw running on the trails, stop by and say HI.

Riding isn’t Over

We received info that Glendo is dry and riding great. If you are itching to get some last days of riding in, make a trip to one of our States amazing state parks to get some miles in.
