Where Did January Go?

This month has been a busy one for us! Between grooming, meetings, and planning, we've kept the trails in excellent shape while continuing to make progress on our projects. One of our key focus areas is the Douglas Mountain Trail Project.

The Douglas Mountain Trail Project has been in the planning phase for several months. In partnership with the Outdoor Enthusiasts of Converse County (OECC) and the City of Douglas, we've been tasked with constructing multi-use trails in the area. OECC has secured funding for Phase I of the project, which includes over three miles of multi-use and mountain bike-optimized trails, a sledding area, and a bike skills park.

This week, CWTA will begin Phase I, taking advantage of the warmer weather. We anticipate this phase will continue through June—unless the weather helps us finish sooner! Rest assured, we’ll still be maintaining the Casper Mountain trails throughout the winter while preparing for our upcoming build season this spring and summer.

For more details, feel free to contact us or follow along for updates as the project progresses!

Upcoming Projects

As we gear up for trail-building season, we’ve been hard at work finalizing this year’s plans. Our focus areas include:

  • Douglas Mountain (Phase I funded)

  • KayLinn Master Plan (2 miles funded, 6 more miles needed to reach full funding)

  • Bridle Trail maintenance

  • Casper Mountain Trail System maintenance

  • Cottonwood Dinosaur Trail planning

  • Harmony Development planning

  • Various other small projects

Our work is made possible by the generosity of our donors and supporters. If you'd like to contribute, please consider making a donation. We are actively seeking funding for general use, maintenance, and the KayLinn Master Plan. Donations can be made via check, cash, or PayPal. As a Wyoming-registered non-profit with 501(c)(3) exemption through IMBA, all contributions are tax-deductible.
